A woman was found dead in her home by police officers after
responding to a call of a disturbance in the neighbourhood early this
afternoon.
The victim, Catherine Shade, is believed to be murdered in a
fight. Shards of glass found on the victims face and a broken mirrors at the
scene of the crime suggests that the victim was slammed against the mirrors
during the fight. Cause of death is a puncture wound to a major artery on the
victim’s neck.
Her daughter Adeline Shade is nowhere to be found, and unable
to be contacted. The case is being
investigated by Portland P.D. and anyone with any information that might help
the investigation are urged to contact the Department.
